With Call Forwarding, you can forward your mobile calls to another phone number, including another mobile phone or a landline phone, like your home or office number.
When Call Forwarding is turned on, your mobile phone won't ring when you receive a call. The call will be sent straight to the phone number that’s receiving your forwarded calls.

About Call Forwarding
-
What is Call Forwarding?
-
How much does Call Forwarding cost?
If you don't have unlimited minutes, you'll be billed for all forwarded calls according to your plan. You'll be billed just like you would if you answered the call from your mobile phone, even if the calls are forwarded to a landline.
There's no monthly fee for Call Forwarding on most plans.
Note: A fee may apply on certain older plans. If you have a plan that includes long distance, long distance isn't charged on forwarded calls. -
Can I use Call Forwarding while I'm outside of the Verizon mobile network?
You won't be able to set up Call Forwarding if you're outside the Verizon mobile coverage area or traveling internationally.
However, if you set it up before you start roaming, Call Forwarding should continue to work while you're traveling. -
Are there any restrictions on what number I can forward calls to?
The phone number you're forwarding calls to must be:
- An active voice-capable line
- In the US
- 10 digits long (area code must always be included, even if it's a local number)
Calls can't be forwarded to an international number.
-
Does Call Forwarding also forward text messages?
No, Call Forwarding won't forward text messages you receive on your mobile phone, only calls.
If you set up Verizon Messages (Message+) on your phone, you'll be able to read your texts and reply to them online.

Troubleshooting
-
I activated Call Forwarding on my phone. Why are people getting a busy tone when they call me?
If callers are receiving a busy tone, you may want to check that the call was forwarded to the correct phone number. Sometimes additional buttons are accidentally pressed while setting up Call Forwarding. If that happens, the number won't be recognized.
Set up Call Forwarding again from your mobile phone by calling *72 plus the forwarding phone number, including the area code (e.g., *72-555-555-5555).
You can also edit the number you're forwarding calls to online from the Call Forwarding page in My Verizon.*
Note: Calls can't be forwarded to international numbers.
*Not currently available for prepaid accounts. Call Forwarding can only be turned on by calling from your prepaid mobile phone.
